Things to do in the Byron Hinterland Beach Houses of Byron

The Crystal Castle & Shambala Gardens

Visit the magical sanctuary home to some of the world’s largest and most beautiful natural crystals. Stand between two of the tallest crystals on earth, sit in an ancient amethyst cave and wander through the tranquil Shambhala Gardens and rainforest.

Things to do in the Byron Hinterland Beach Houses of Byron

Macadamia Castle

An ideal outing for the family, visit Macadamia Castle for a full day of mini-golf, animal and water park fun. The Animal Park is home to over 150 native and farmyard animals, birds and reptiles and the cafe is known for its legendary sweet and savoury pancakes.

The Farm

The Farm Byron Bay is an 80 acre working farm and plant nursury where you’ll find the Three Blue Ducks Restaurant, The Bread Social Bakery and Baylato Gelato. Once you’ve eaten wander the fields home to pigs, Scottish Highland cattle & chickens who all roam freely. 

Byron Solar Train

Take a trip on the world first and immaculately restored 1949 era two carriage heritage solar train. Pass through rainforest, endangered coastal wetlands and over the stunning tea tree Belongil Creek, part of Cape Byron Marine Park.

Brunswick Heads Fairy Trail

Everyone loves fairies and a scavanger hunt! There are a number of lovely little fairy houses tucked into hidden and interesting locations around Brunswick Heads. There is a clue sheet available at The Visitors Centre to guide you to explore the Fairy Trail.

Gold Coast Theme Parks

Around 50 minutes from Byron, spend a thrilling day at each of the spectacular theme parks on the Gold Coast – Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea Worls, Wet & Wild.
